Fair Isle Obsession

Now that it has turned the *slightest* bit cold in California, I am focusing my attention on Miss A's winter wardrobe. I keep finding myself coming back to Fair Isle patterns. It looks timeless and modern at the same time.
You guys. I die over this little bear cardigan from Baby Gap. I've already ordered this to be Miss A's "winter coat."
I saw this Fair Isle Owl Sweater in Nordstrom. It is sooo soft and cute. Comes in hot pink too!

I am also obsessing over Christmas PJs. I waited too long to pull the trigger on these "bear isle" jammies. They are currently sold out in Miss A's size, wahhhh.

I'm also loving this Mini Boden dress. The color yellow looks so cute on my little redhead.

This gorgeous cardigan is from Zara. They have some absolutely amazing winter coats. If it ever actually got cold here, I would totally buy one.

What are you obsessing over lately?

Incredible Felt

When I think of felt, my mind goes to poorly done elementary school crafts. I think that's why I'm so impressed with what the talented artists of Etsy have been able to do with the medium. They have turned something humble into something incredibly beautiful.

Baby Gap Sale

Okay, you guys know I'm a Baby Gapaholic. They're having a pretty awesome sale right now. Most everything is discounted (up to 40% off), with an extra 15%  off using the code GAPEXTRA. You can get some really great fall pieces for cheap! Here are some of my picks:

The only thing I'm wondering is if the prices are better in store. I seem to recall the leggings and playtime favorites being cheaper at my local Baby Gap. I might swing by there tomorrow to do some investigating. I'll let you know!

Baby Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is just around the corner! This is going to be Miss A's costume. It was inspired by her "strawberry blonde" hair!
Here are some other cute options: A sweet shark.
What are your little ones planning to be?

Bee Day Party Pics

I wanted to share a few pics with you from Miss A's first "Bee" day party!

The cupcakes were a big hit. I made the monogram toppers, and I got the fondant bees on Etsy.

The kids had fun playing in the pool. We also had coloring sheets and bee stickers.

For party favors, I burned CDs with themed songs (like "Let it Bee" and "Always Bee My Baby").

Embroidery Hoop Art

I found these sweet embroidery hoops on Etsy. I think they're the perfect combination of old fashioned and modern.

The Pitter Patter of...

[one] [two] [three] [four] [five] [six]

Here's a confession. I've spent way more time than is probably necessary thinking about Miss A's first pair of "real" shoes. She has a pair of Robeez, but they're really more like slippers than shoes. Now that she's standing and cruising around, I wanted something that offered a little more support. There are so many choices! Hard or flexible sole? Mary Jane, sneaker, slip on? And what color will go with all her outfits??

Above you'll find some of our top shoe contenders. We ended up going with the silver Pedipeds. I thought the sole was just right. Thicker and more supportive than the Robeez, but still soft and flexible for proper foot development. And I like that the metallic color goes with everything. She'll still be barefoot at home, but these will be nice to have while we're out and about.

What shoes do you like for your little ones?

Animal Prints

You guys. I am DYING over the cuteness of The Animal Print Shop.
Sharon Montrose is an incredible photographer. I love the use of negative space. Also, LOOK AT HOW CUTE THESE BABY ANIMALS ARE. I can't even stand it. A grouping of these photos looks so beautiful in a nursery or playroom.
